Membership Center
ASLTA is a professional association for ASL educators who teach in heritage or world language settings. Membership in ASLTA is open to all educators of American Sign Language and closely-related fields, including Deaf History, Deaf Culture, ASL Linguistics, and ASL Literature. Individuals who are not ASL educators but who support the mission and goals of ASLTA are welcome to join at the Supporting level.
Membership Cycle
All ASLTA memberships start on September 1st and end on August 31st each year.
If you join in October or May, your membership will still expire on August 31st.
ASL Honor Society
Looking for the ASL Honor Society add-on membership. Each membership has an option for add-on membership.

ASLTA Certification
Interested in earning one of our four certifications? First, you must have an Associate membership to be eligible to apply. After your application is approved, you will be asked to upgrade your membership to Certified.

Institutional Membership
Institutional members are colleges, universities, businesses, organizations, and nonprofits that support ASLTA’s mission and want to partner with the nation’s only professional association for all ASL educators. Institutional members have access to benefits unavailable to other ASLTA members.
