ASLTA Book Club Series

Let’s explore texts and literature that widen our understanding and deepen our appreciation of American Sign Language, the Deaf community, and its rich culture. Connect with other educators, share insights, and strengthen our community. Together, we’ll enhance our knowledge and gain new perspectives, inspiring ourselves and allowing us to share newfound insights with our students.

The Sign for Home by Blair Fell

Join us for the ASLTA Book Club Series, where reading turns into meaningful conversation and classroom application! In our first session, we come together to discuss the selected book, share perspectives, and explore key takeaways. During our second session, we welcome the author for an engaging Q&A and the opportunity to dig deeper into the ideas behind the book. Finally, we bring it all into the classroom by collaborating on lesson plans, activities, and practical ways to incorporate the book into ASL instruction.

Read. Connect. Create. Bring it to the classroom!

This exciting professional development program is FREE only for ASLTA members.  Non-members can join for a fee.
