Information & Policies
- Refund Policy: ASLTA is committed to offering high-quality professional development opportunities for ASL educators. To ensure fairness to both participants and our organization, please review the following refund policy carefully before registering for any course or webinar.
-
Refunds: A participant may receive a 50% refund if a written cancellation request is submitted at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled course or webinar start time. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to pd@aslta.org. Approved refunds will be issued by check and mailed within 10 business days. Please note that refunds are not issued as credit card reversals, as this process incurs a processing fee.
-
No Refunds After Course Begin Date: Once a course or webinar has begun, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Participants who do not attend on the day of the course or webinar, for any reason, will not be eligible for a refund.
-
Duplicate Course Responsibility: Participants are responsible for verifying that any course they register for does not duplicate content from a course they have previously completed for ASLTA credit or through a degree program. ASLTA is not responsible for registrations made in error, and duplicate enrollment does not qualify for a refund. If you are unsure whether a course overlaps with prior coursework, please contact pd@aslta.org to request a syllabus before registering.
-
Questions: If you have questions about this policy or your registration, please contact pd@aslta.org prior to the start of your course.
- Online Course Expectation: High speed internet, Zoom, and a webcam.
- Time Zone: IMPORTANT! The course / webinar follows the Eastern Time Zone. Please remember to check the corresponding time zone for your part of the country to ensure you attend accordingly.
- Credit Card: To secure your spot for an online course / webinar, debit / credit card is required for payment. A processing fee is added to credit card payments.
- ASLTA Certificate of Attendance: For ASLTA, the RID ID or CEUs are not required if you’re working on your ASLTA certification. You still can obtain your certification without the RID and ACET logos on it. You can also use this document for your ASLTA certification at no cost to you, and you will only need to complete the survey at the end of the online course. You will receive a certificate of participation within a week after the course completion.
- Minimum 15 students and maximum 20 students.
