American Sign Language Teachers Association

ASL EDU: Virtual Symposium

The ASL EDU: Virtual Symposium is one of our professional development events that we offer annually, and we are excited to host our fourth virtual symposium online webinar series this July 17 – 18, 2026, with the theme “Revolutionary Teaching: Rethinking How We Teach, Learn, and Assess.”

Our symposiums bring together scholars and educators to discuss various topics related to enhancing the learning and teaching of American Sign Language. It promises to be a stimulating two days of presentations, workshops, and discussions that foster a deeper understanding of how to be an effective ASL teacher, with dedicated tracks for K-12 and post-secondary instruction.

We welcome all educators, including ASL teachers, mentors, and program administrators, to present at ASLTA’s fourth symposium! Your diverse perspectives and experiences are highly valued and will enrich our discussions. Submit a presentation proposal today!

All webinar sessions and social events will be conducted through Zoom.
