Upcoming Events

ASLTA is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). These dynamic online communities are designed to connect ASL teachers of different backgrounds from across the nation (international members welcomed), fostering a collaborative environment where we can share ideas, best practices, and resources.

This exciting professional development program is FREE and only for ASLTA members. To participate, please fill out the form below and sign up. PLC facilitators will be in touch to provide you with further instructions. We are excited to have you all join us. 

PLC: Research will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 pm.
PLC: Experienced Teachers will meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 4 pm.
PLC: New Teachers will meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 4 pm.

Who we are.

ASLTA is a national professional organization of American Sign Language and Deaf studies teachers. Our mission is to perpetuate, preserve, and promote American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Culture through excellence in teaching. Membership in ASLTA is open to teachers of American Sign Language, Deaf Studies and related professions, including individuals who support the goals of the organization. ASLTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of its individual and organizational members and donors.
