1. Presentation Content:
Originality: All presentation materials must be original work or properly cited if using existing content.
Relevance: Presentations should be directly relevant to the conference theme and the field of ASL education.
Appropriateness: Content should be suitable for a professional audience and adhere to the ASLTA's bylaws and policies.
Inclusivity: Presentations should be inclusive and accessible to all attendees, regardless of their background or experience.
Confidentiality: Presenters may not disclose confidential information during their presentations.
2. Presentation Delivery:
Timeliness: Presenters must adhere to the allocated presentation time.
Professionalism: Presenters must maintain a professional demeanor throughout the conference.
Technical Requirements: Presenters are responsible for ensuring their presentation materials are compatible with the conference's technical setup.
Recording: Presentations may be recorded by the ASLTA. By agreeing to these terms, presenters grant the ASLTA the right to record, reproduce, and distribute their presentations clips for promotional purposes.
3. Intellectual Property:
Copyright: Presenters retain copyright of their original presentation materials.
Usage Rights: By presenting at the conference, presenters have options to grant the ASLTA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their presentation materials for educational purposes. ie. share presentation file on conference app.
4. Cancellation and Changes:
Presenter Cancellation: If a presenter needs to cancel, they must notify the ASLTA as soon as possible.
Cancellation: The ATA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule presentations due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Liability:
Disclaimer: The ASLTA is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from a presenter's participation in the conference.
6. Agreement:
Acceptance: By submitting a presentation proposal, presenters agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
By participating in the ASL Teachers Association's National Professional Development Conference as a presenter, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
