Theme

The 2025 National Professional Development Conference (NPDC) theme is Fifty Years: For Teachers, By Teachers. ASL education is constantly being challenged in many ways: high demand by the learners, linguisticism, and so on. To achieve unity among all areas within ASL education, we are expected to develop programming that is in line with the continuing development in academia, appropriate for today and future student demographics, maintain top-notch instruction, and cater to a global student community. At the 2025 NPDC conference, we will have the opportunity to learn from one another and reignite our creativity, innovation, and passion for lifelong education. We will exchange innovative ideas related to the latest research, programming, online learning, and more. Through engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and communities of practice, we will inspire each other to respond to the needs of learners across the nation and around the globe.

Tagline

The tagline “FIFTY YEARS: For Teachers, By Teachers” encapsulates the essence of our conference, emphasizing collaboration, expertise, and inclusivity. “FIFTY YEARS” signifies the organization’s longevity through collective effort, highlighting the power of collaboration among educators. “For Teachers, By Teachers” underscores the cooperative and collaborative efforts within the ASL education field to elevate each educator by providing authenticity and relevance in the content, ensuring that the conference is tailored to the specific needs and experiences of educators themselves. This tagline reflects our dedication to fostering a community-driven, enriching, and universally applicable educational experience.

Logo & Branding

The logo was designed by our Vice President, Matt Andersen, who has a background in visual communications. One of his first tasks as the Core Team’s Public Relations Coordinator is to create cohesive and well-thought-out branding for the conference.  We hope you enjoy his work as much as we do.
