Elevating ASL Education Together
ASLTA K-12 Summit
The ASLTA K-12 Summit fills the urgent need for professional development focusing exclusively on ASL educators and professionals who teach at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. The nation’s leading experts in K-12 ASL education will tackle today’s pressing issues K-12 ASL educators encounter in a day of learning, collaboration, and connection. We are excited to welcome you to our next virtual K-12 Summit on October 3, 2026!
The K-12 Summit brings together presenters who teach in the same environment as you do, with direct experience teaching classes with 30+ students, who know what differentiation is and how to implement it, who understand the challenge of grading hundreds of videos, and who know first-hand the need for activities that are engaging yet easy to prepare. The K-12 Summit intends to foster collaboration, provide you with activities, tools, and resources to make teaching more rewarding, and ultimately to remind you why you love teaching ASL in the K-12 system. Through engaging presentations, interactive workshops, and meaningful discussions, participants will gain new perspectives and practical strategies to enhance teaching and support student language learning.
Whether you are an ASL teacher, mentor, administrator, interpreter, or other professional invested in ASL education, we invite you to join us! The diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise of our participants are an important part of what makes the K-12 Symposium a valuable professional learning experience.
