Parliamentary Process Overview

All individuals attending the 2019 ASLTA National Professional Development Conference in San Diego are encouraged to attend and participate in the General Business meetings. These meetings are where members with voting rights may shape the direction of the Association, its priorities, and more. The General Business meetings will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 (8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) and Tuesday, July 2, 2019 (8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.).

The videos below explain basic parliamentary procedures to ensure an efficient, respectful, and effective meeting of members.

Much appreciation is extended to Parliamentarian Mark Apodaca and ASLTA President Janice Smith-Warshaw for taking the time to provide this overview of parliamentary process.
