American Sign Language Teachers Association

Past Conferences

Biennial conferences are a cornerstone of our community, providing a vital space for ASL teachers to connect, share knowledge, and grow together. They are essential for keeping our profession dynamic and relevant.

A special thank you to all our members and attendees. Your continued support and participation are what make these conferences such a meaningful and important part of every ASL teacher’s professional development journey.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event!

Cycle of Conference Planning

  1. ASLTA works with entities to determine the site of the national conference.
  2. Leaders of ASLTA announce future conference sites at the ASLTA conference.
  3. ASLTA actively begins planning the conference at least 2 years before the conference event.
  4. ASLTA confirms the dates of the conference.
  5. ASLTA finalizes the logistics of the conference.
  6. One year before the conference, registration begins.
  7. Finally, the conference opens!
