According to our historic
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated on July 3, 2002, the ASLTA became a separate and autonomous association on December 31, 2003. We
anticipate many exciting changes, such as hiring a new Executive Director,
finding a new Home Office, and restructuring our membership categories.
All of these changes will not come at once but the ASLTA Board is working
hard to make exciting things happen for our "new" independent association.
Now, there is no longer proprated membership system. The primary goal is to
have an annual membership. There are different
categories of membership: Certified, Associate, Supporting, Institutional,
and Honorary. Annual Membership fees, benefits and bylaws comments are
explained in detail on the charts below.
Online version of membership application is in under development. For mailing, please print and fill out 2007 ASLTA Membership (24 KB, PDF document) and Demographic Survey (679 KB, PDF document) forms completely and legibly. Send them to the address provided below with check or money order payable to American Sign Language Teachers Association.
